Custom Dynamic Text Class

Hello!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted a question here.

I’m currently working on a Custom Dynamic Text Class that would allow me to create text fields where the actual text is at or close to the specified width. textWidth has been a great help with this, but just because I know how wide the actual text is doesn’t mean I know where exactly the text sits in the text box. I’ve tried making minor adjustments to the text field placement, but of course, the text doesn’t look lined up when I have the text right justified.

I know Designers and Developers have had trouble with dynamic text fields in Flash as far as getting everything to look as nice and lined up as it does in the comps. While working on this text field, it occurred to me that someone may have already built a class to get around these visual alignment issues.

Can anyone provide a link to a known custom class that allows the developer to create dynamic text fields and have the content be flush on the horizontal and vertical? Thanks! I hope this makes sense!
